Body movement

Ephesians 4:11-12

11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the [a]edifying of the body of Christ,

My heart burns to see the body of Christ moving and operating in accordance with the mission and passion of Christ. The body of Christ is the single most powerful force on the earth today because of the supernatural power in the person of the Holy Spirit that resides in us through a new birth through Christ. This power is most evident when we allow it to heal deliver and transform us into a new man or woman. I have come to discover that

our daily living becomes a demonstration of God's right now power that's most relevant and effective for reaching others for with the gospel of Jesus Christ.  The greatest evangelistic resource we possess is our daily life. Much like the COVID 19 virus has shifted the culture of the world one person at a time so does the body of Christ.

The work of the evangelist is to help mobilize and equip the believer for intentional evangelistic living in their everyday metron. In the present posture of today's church, this understanding must be reinforced through teaching, modeling, and sharing in a community setting where courage, confidence, and evangelistic culture is cultivated.

Body movement is not merely church attendance. It is the deployment and matriculation of our lives in society outside of the four walls. It is the everyday impressions we make when we move out daily at work, the grocery store, neighborhood, classroom, and through many different forms of interactions with people. This is what made the New Testament Church so relevant and infectious. This is also God's plan for His church today as we prepare to be laborers that reach an overwhelming number of people that are ready to be harvested for christ.

My heart is burdened for today's youth and young professionals. God has been speaking to my heart about the future of the church.  There is a movement that’s ready to break forth in the lives of millennials and generation z. To be more specific that’s people between the ages of 15 and 35 yrs.

I believe it will take unified partnerships to truly usher in reformation and revival. It will require innovative leadership that has a willingness to radically obey the Holy Spirit to redeem a generation in the church that has become lukewarm and idle. They have become dry bones in need of revival and vision that will equip them to know the father and do the work of God in this present age. They are idle because they can’t find significance and vision in the church that guides them to the revolutionary power of Jesus and his movement beyond church services and meetings. The movement of Christ must be transferred to them so the church will be positioned to be a light on a hill that’s not hidden in this millennium. As I was praying I asked God what to do. He said to reach out.

I’m not writing as a critic or a pessimist. I LOVE THE CHURCH AND IT'S MISSION. I’m a reformer that sees into the future and seeks to equip leaders to ready themselves for the work of the great harvest that’s vastly approaching. I realize I can’t be a lone ranger. I need partnership and wisdom. What do I need from you? Conversation and possible collaboration.

discipling the lost

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (AMP)

19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is within you, whom you have [received as a gift] from God, and that you are not your own [property]?  20 You were bought with a price [you were actually purchased with the precious blood of Jesus and made His own]. So then, honor and glorify God with your body.

Discipling the lost begins with cultivating a teachable life that reflect the character and nature of Christ. We must come out of our shells and begin to see our personal life as a classroom. We as believers must understand that our life is not our own. As we encounter people and make meaningful impressions in their lives christ is actually drawing them to and encounter with Himself through you. As Jesus made time for investing his life into other we must as well. We must also get this understanding passed down to the youth as well.

Matthew 16:24-25

24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple], he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests], and take up his cross [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me]. 25 For whoever wishes to save his life [in this world] will [eventually] lose it [through death], but whoever loses his life [in this world] for My sake will find it [that is, life with Me for all eternity].

Our lives become the classroom and our personal experiences both good and bad when shared with others become the revealing of the day to day path one must take to walk with Christ. The cross we carry daily reveals the before and after-effects of the love /mercy of God in our lives. this revealing creates points of connection and relatability that become tools for building hope of Christ in others as they begin a life-changing relationship with Christ and you. Many people want to introduce others to Christ but fail to realize that it begins as they personally encounter us. Christ is not just "at the church", or an evangelical event or resource that we hand out. Christ is also in us ready to be revealed in a moment's notice through each of his believers.
